Confirm that other fixtures in the home are receiving hot water. If none are receiving hot water, the problem may not be a clog but a pilot light in a hot water tank that has been extinguished. If other fixtures in the home have hot water, then the problem may be with just the Kohler K-10433.

Locate the hot water shutoff valve under the sink to which the faucet is attached via a water supply hose. Ensure that the handle or knob on the shutoff valve is turned completely counterclockwise. The knob may have accidentally been shut off and that is the reason the faucet has no hot water, or any water at all.

    • 3

Inspect the water supply hose if the shutoff valve was turned on. Look for kinks in the hose that could be restricting the hot water flow to the faucet. Straighten the hose if it is bent or kinked and test the faucet to ascertain if the problem has been resolved.

Replace the hot water supply hose with a new one to eliminate the possibility that the hose is clogged internally. Turn the handle or knob on the shutoff valve completely clockwise to turn off the water supply. Unscrew the fittings at either end of the water supply hose using an adjustable wrench. Install the new hose and tighten the fittings. Restore the water supply and test the faucet.

Turn off the water supply by turning the knobs on the shutoff valves under the sink completely clockwise. Remove the handle by loosening the setscrew at the base using an Allen (hex-head) wrench. Remove the collar by hand and turn the mixing valve counterclockwise using a valve stem wrench. Soak the mixing valve in a small plastic container filled with a petroleum-based spray lubricant overnight to remove any calcification. Reassemble the faucet and restore the water supply.
