How to Express Gratitude for a Job Offer
The first and last thing you should say when accepting a job offer is "Thank you." This is the fundamental form of gratitude that is expected of every new employee. Showing gratitude is the standard way to get started at a new job. This, however, doesn't mean you shouldn't negotiate the offer with your potential employer. Take enough time to determine what remuneration you would accept even if you are extremely grateful for the offer.

1
Thank the potential employer, but resist the temptation to accept right away. Ask for a day to review the offer before responding.

2
Determine what you want to change about the offer to make it more to your liking. Call the potential employer and thank him again for the offer but you have a counteroffer. Present him the terms of your counteroffer.

Thank her for coming to terms over your remuneration and then ask any detailed questions you have, such as, "When is the start date?" Thank your new employer a final time, say "I look forward to working for you" and then end the conversation.
