How to Streak Your Hair With Kool-Aid
Kool-Aid is not only a tasty drink mix, it can be used to make a colorful fashion statement. The powder comes in an array of flavors that can add bold, but temporary, color to sections of your hair. It's an inexpensive and commitment-free way to try something different. The Kool-Aid solution is applied to hair in the same manner as traditional dye. Things You'll Need
- Shampoo
- Hair dryer
- Small bowl
- Kool-Aid drink mix packets
- Spoon
- Comb
- Paintbrush
- Aluminum foil
- Conditioner

Wash and dry your hair as usual.

Pour two packets of Kool-Aid drink mix into a small bowl. Pour 1/8 cup of warm water into the bowl and mix with a spoon until the powder dissolves.

Separate the desired sections of hair with a comb. Dip a paintbrush into the solution and paint each section thoroughly with the Kool-Aid mixture.

Wrap each section in aluminum foil. Fold the sections until the aluminum foil is resting against your scalp to keep the Kool-Aid mixture from escaping.

Heat the aluminum foil with a blow dryer until it feels very warm, but not hot.

Allow the dye to remain on your hair for 20 minutes.

Remove the aluminum foil and rinse the Kool-Aid away with cool water.

Apply your usual conditioner and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse the conditioner out and style your newly streaked hair as desired.
