How to Get Claydol in "Sapphire"
Claydol is a Pokemon belonging to the Ground and Psychic types. To catch a Claydol in "Pokemon Sapphire," you must unlock the Sky Pillar area by defeating the Elite Four; however, you can also get a Claydol by evolving a Baltoy.

Catching Claydol

Obtain all eight Gym Badges and defeat both the Elite Four and the current champion. This unlocks the Sky Pillar area.

Travel to the Sky Pillar area, found on the northern edge of Route 131.

Run around on the first, third or fifth floor of the Sky Pillar until you encounter a wild Claydol.

Fight the Claydol until it is weakened, then catch it with a Pokeball.
Catching and Evolving Baltoy

Travel to Route 111.

Run around in the deep sand until you encounter a wild Baltoy.

Fight the Baltoy until it is weakened, then catch it with a Pokeball.

Fight other Pokemon with your newly obtained Baltoy to earn experience and levels. When the Baltoy reaches level 36, it evolves into Claydol.
