How to Export Online AOL Favorites

The myAOL feature on AOL's website allows you to create a custom homepage with links to your favorite pages, news feeds and more. If you have a large collection of favorites on your myAOL page that you want to save, use the export feature to download a list of the bookmarks to your computer. You can then import the list into other programs, such as Internet Explorer, and quickly add all the bookmarks.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the myAOL homepage at My.aol.com and sign in to your AOL account.

    • 2

Click the "Favorites" tab near the top of the page. The Favorites tab provides access to all your bookmarks and feeds.

    • 3

Click the "Bookmarks" tab to view your list of bookmarks. If you want to delete a bookmark before you export the list, click "Manage" on the Bookmarks tab, then click on the bookmark and click "Delete."

    • 4

Click "Export Bookmarks" to download your bookmarks in a single file.

    • 5

Select a folder to store the file and click "Save."

Tips & Warnings

  • Open the downloaded file to view a list of your bookmarks or add the bookmarks to another program by using the program's import feature.
