How to Make a Friendship Bracelet Connect
Friendship bracelets are popular jewelry pieces. They are stylish and easy to make. A downfall of a traditional friendship bracelet is that you must cut it for removal. Using spring clasps eliminates allow you to keep your bracelet longer. Instead of cutting the bracelet you can use clasps to take it on and off.

1
Measure the strings for your friendship bracelet and cut. One yard of each color should be sufficient for any wrist or ankle bracelet. Small bracelets require less string. Match the ends of the string together evenly. Wet your fingers and twist the top of the strings together.

2
Put the string ends through one spring ring clasp. Slide the spring ring clasp down the string a few inches. Tie a knot with the end of the string and a few inches above the spring ring clasp. Pull the knot down as far as you can. The knot should push the spring ring clasp down with it. Leave a little loop at the end of the knot for the spring ring clasp to dangle from.

3
Tape your knot onto a table or hard surface and make your friendship bracelet in the pattern you have chosen. Test the length when you are done on your wrist or ankle. If you are satisfied split the strings in half and tie them together in two knots. This prevents the bracelet from unraveling.

4
Bring the strings back together. Wet your finger tips and twist the ends. Slide the second spring ring clasp down towards the bracelet. Make another knot as previously, with a loop so the second spring ring clasp also dangles. Be sure the knot is secured tightly at the end of the bracelet.

5
Cut the extra string hanging off the bracelet. Remove the tape to see the top of your bracelet. If there is any extra string at the top from your first knot cut that also. Test the clasps and you can wear your friendship bracelet.
