The object is to increase your reputation and popularity while living the "best" virtual life possible, which in the context of It Girl means shopping and partying with friends. You can get a higher ranking by finding a well-off or wealthy boyfriend. But first, you will need to increase your clique count before approaching just any guy on the street or at a social gathering.

Sign in to your Facebook account, go to the "IT Girl" app or type "IT Girl" in the search box and enter the game. If it is your first time playing the game, you'll have to give the developers permission to access your Facebook information.

Click the "My Clique" tab to check how many people are in your clique. You should add as many friends to your clique as possible to boost your clique count. Some potential boyfriends are superficial and want you to be a popular girl.

Click the "Add to My Clique" button for each friend that you want to add to your group. Or you can invite friends who are not already playing the game to join your clique by selecting their profile picture below and clicking the "Send It Girl Invitation" button.

Left-click anywhere in the playing environment to move to that location. Continue to move through the city districts until you find a reputable boy you want to flirt with.

Hover over the boy's character and click the "Flirt" button. He may reject you, which decreases your confidence score. But if he likes you, then a notification will appear on the screen with the guy asking your character to be his girlfriend. You can then accept or decline his offer. Click the "Accept" button to make him your boyfriend.

Click the "My Life" icon at the bottom of the gaming environment and go to the "My Boyfriend" indicator panel to take different actions with or regarding your boyfriend. You can kiss him, give gifts, talk to him, hang out or break up. If you plan to keep your boyfriend, you should hang out with him occasionally to boost his happiness score.

Tips & Warnings
You can flirt with other guys in the game even if you have a boyfriend, but every time you do the happiness score for your current boyfriend goes down by ten percent.
