Display your earrings on a framed earring holder.

Make a framed earring holder to display your dangling pairs of earrings. Framed earring holders allow you to organize your earrings in a way that will allow you to find a pair quickly and easily. Your earrings also will remain in good condition because they will be hanging individually instead of being jumbled together in a jewelry box.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the backing and glass from a wooden picture frame. Measure the length and width of the frame's opening with a measuring tape. Add 1 inch to each measurement.

    • 2

Lay a piece of nylon mesh screen on a flat surface. Measure your calculated length and width on the screen. Use a fabric pencil to mark the measurements on the screen. Cut out the measured piece of screen with a pair of scissors.

    • 3

Set the picture frame, right side down, on a flat surface. Lay the screen on top of the picture frame. Position the screen so it overlaps each edge of the frame's opening by 1 inch.

    • 4

Attach the screen to the frame using a staple gun. Place a staple every 2 inches through the screen into the wood of the frame along all four sides.

    • 5

Cut two pieces of 1/2-inch ribbon, equal to the width of the mesh. Cut two pieces of the same ribbon, equal to the length of the mesh. Use a hot glue gun to apply a line of glue on one of the ribbons. Lay the ribbon, glue side down, over one edge of the mesh. Position the ribbon so half its width is on the frame and the other half is on the mesh. Press the ribbon until the glue dries. Repeat this process on each of the remaining three sides with the three remaining ribbons.

Turn the frame over. Stick the ear posts of each pair of earrings through the wire mesh. Hang your frame on a wall to display.
