How to Stucco a Water Leak in a Sill Pan
Sill pans are often installed underneath the windows and doors of your home. Sill pans help with water leakage and are typically made of metal or some type of composite material. If you are experiencing water leakage around your door or window, it is possible that the sill pan is damaged. Open up the door or window and remove it to expose the sill pan. Pop off any trim surrounding the window with a pry bar. Locate the screws in the side of the window holding it in place and loosen them up with a power drill. Set the screws aside and pull the widow out of the opening. Remove the threshold along the bottom of the door with a power drill and locate the sill pan underneath.

Pour the stucco mix into a wheelbarrow and add water to the mixture. Stir the mixture up with a trowel. Move the trowel back and forth in the wheelbarrow until the entire mixture achieves a consistency of peanut butter. The amount of water will vary, but is generally around 4 quarts per bag.

Inspect the sill pan and locate all of the leaks on the pan. Find any small cracks and begin covering them up with the stucco mix. Apply a thin 1/8-inch layer over the entire surface with the mix until all the cracks are covered.

Add more stucco mix to the trowel if necessary and continue over the entire sill pan until the leaks are completely covered. Let the stucco patch dry for at least one hour and touch it to verify it has hardened before reinstalling the threshold or window.

Screw the window or threshold back into place and test them out to verify they work properly. Check for leaks in the sill pan after the first rain and make sure the stucco is working.
