How to Troubleshoot a Lanier 7313
The Lanier 7313 is a copier used in commercial offices for making copies, sending faxes and scanning documents. If you are having problems with your Lanier 7313, there are a few things that you can do in order to get it working properly. The most common problems include paper jams, density in the images and misfeeds in the paper tray. You don't have to be a copier technician to get the machine working properly. You can do it yourself with little hassle.

Check the machine to make sure it has paper and toner. If it is out of either, it will not be able to operate.

Go to the jam doors on the front, back and sides of the copier. These are labeled and have a small groove that will allow you to pop the door out. Pull the paper that is creating the jam out of the rollers and then go to the control panel on the front of the copier. Press the green button to reset the copier.

Adjust the image density on the front of the control panel if your copies are coming out too dark. Press the "Auto Image Density" button on the front of the control panel to reconfigure the scanner. Press the "lighter" or the "darker" buttons to configure the density manually.

Open the paper tray and make sure that the paper tray is not overloaded. The tray should be only about three-quarters full. If it is completely full, there will be a misfeed. Remove paper as needed.
