How to Find a Gas Station App for Android

Use a gas station app to locate the nearest gas station.

If you have an Android phone and a gas station application, you don't have to worry about finding a gas station to fill up your car. Gas station apps for your Android phone will locate gas stations in your immediate area based on your current location. Some gas station apps even display the gas stations with the cheapest gas, so that you can save money. Several gas station apps are available for download to your phone via the Android Market.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" button on your Android phone, then select "Market."

2. Tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the screen, then type "Gas Station" in the search bar.

3. Select a gas station app from the results list. Gas Buddy, Gas Stations and Finder Gas Stations are examples of free gas station apps that are available.

4. Tap the "Free" button, then select "OK" to accept the terms of the app. The gas station app automatically downloads to your Android phone.

Tips & Warnings

• Some gas station apps require an Android phone with an applicable data plan to find gas station information in your area.
