How to Get a TV to Detect the Mac by VGA

The VGA, or visual graphics array connection from your Mac allows you to send the video signal from the Mini DisplayPort so you can use your TV as an additional monitor. Once the connection is made, your TV takes only a couple of seconds to recognize the connection and display the image from your Mac on the screen. VGA carries a video signal, so you will have to use an additional audio cable or listen to the sound through the Mac's speaker system.
