Windows Media Player is an all-around video editing and playing program provided for free on Windows-based computers. You can take video clips and combine them into a video to be played on Windows Media Player. The process uses a Windows Media video clip joiner program that will work with Windows Media Player to combine the video clips. No experience in using video editing programs is necessary. The individual video files will not be altered by being combined, since the combined video file will be created as a new file on the computer's hard drive.
Step 1
Download a Windows Media video clip joiner program to the computer's hard drive, like the free Windows Media Joiner program (see the link in Resources). Double-click on the icon of the Windows Media video clip joiner program once it has fully downloaded. Follow the menu prompts to install the program onto the computer's hard drive. Restart the PC.

Double-click on the icon of the joiner program to launch it. Go to "Add File" on the "File" menu. Navigate in the window that appears to the first video clip of the video clips that are to be combined. Click once on the video clip and press the "Open" button to close the window and load the video clip into the joiner program.
Step 3
Go to "Add File" on the "File" menu. Navigate in the window that appears to the second video clip of the video clips that are to be combined. Click once on the video clip and press the "Open" button to close the window and load the video clip into the joiner program. Repeat this process until all of the video clips that are to be combined have been selected and loaded.
Step 4
Name the video that is going to be made from the video clips in the "Name" column on the joiner program. Press the "Combine" button. Wait as the video is saved to the computer's hard drive. Quit the joiner program once the file has been saved.
Step 5
Double-click on the icon of the Windows Media Player to launch it. Go to "File" and select "Add File" from the drop-down menu. Navigate to the video that was made from the video clips and highlight it with the mouse. Press the "Open" button to load the video into Windows Media Player. Press "Play" to watch the video that was combined from video clips.
