How to Connect to WPA2 With Orinoco Gold

Orinoco Gold is an internal wireless network adapter compatible with the WPA2 security protocol. You can connect to a WPA2 network in a similar fashion to other wireless networks, except that you need a network key, or password, for the network. When you provide the network key you connect to the WPA2 secured network and gain access to the shared Internet connection, files, folders and peripherals.

Things You'll Need

• Configured WPA2 network
• Wireless network name and key

Instructions

1. Go to your laptop with the Orinoco Gold wireless combo card.

2. Take your laptop within range of the wireless network.

3. Check your system tray for the network connection icon. It can appear as either a small series of bars or a computer monitor in your tray.

4. Click the network connection icon. Select your wireless network or the wireless network you are connecting to. Click "Connect."

5. Type the WPA2 key twice to confirm the network's password. Click "OK" to confirm the key and access the network.
