Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding believed to have originated in the 17th century. Practitioners create everyday objects, animals and birds from paper. If you are a dog fancier or are interesting in folding an origami dog, you also may wish to create an origami dog bone. The bone can a whimsical complement to other dog-related origami items you might have on display around your home.

Step 3

Press the crease slightly to the right of the left small flap you have just created. Fold the crease over the crease in the middle. This will create an "S" shape.

Step 4

Flip the paper over. Take hold of the top left corner and fold it over slightly towards the side of the paper so that it lines up with the left edge. Repeat this on the right side.

Step 6

Flip the paper 180 degrees and repeat Steps 3 through 5 on the other side of the paper. This will complete the dog bone.
