How to Log Out of Gmail on the EVO Shift

You can have up to 10 Gmail accounts connected to your EVO Shift, but only one account can be the primary account. The process differs slightly depending on whether the account you want to log out of is a secondary account or the primary account. When you log out of the primary account, the phone prompts you to log back into Gmail. You can log in with the same account, or with a different account.

Instructions

Logging Out of Second Gmail Account

1. Press the "Menu" button on the main screen of the EVO Shift and touch "Settings."

2. Tap "Accounts & sync" and touch your Gmail account.

3. Tap "Remove account."

Logging Out of Original Gmail Account

1. Press the "Menu" button on the main screen and touch "Settings."

2. Touch "Applications" and tap "Manage applications."

3. Tap the "All" tab and touch "Google Apps."

4. Tap "Clear data" and "Clear cache."

5. Press the "Home" button and press "Menu."

6. Tap "Settings" and touch "Accounts & sync." The phone will prompt you to sign into a new Gmail account.
