How to Print a Taxonomy Term Without the Link

Taxonomy is the science used for naming and classifying extinct and living organisms. If you're on a website that focuses on taxonomy terms and you need to print out the term, there is a way to do so without the link to the Web page showing up at the top of the page. The default setting for Web page printing is for the link to the Web page to be shown. To change this setting, go into your Web browser print options.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Web page containing the taxonomy term you want to print without the link.

    • 2

Open the "File" menu and click on "Page Setup." If you're using Firefox, open the "Margins & Header/Footer" tab now.

    • 3

Click the drop-down menu under "URL" in the "Headers and Footers" section of the dialog box and select "Blank" in Firefox or "Empty" in Internet Explorer.

    • 4

Click "OK" to save your settings and then select "Print" from the "File" menu. Your taxonomy term will now be printed without a link to the page.
