How to Make a Monogrammed Retractable Badge Reel
While you may be required to wear your identification badge on a retractable badge reel or may just appreciate the convenience of having your badge handy, the standard clips for badge reels are not especially stylish. Create your own fashionable, monogrammed badge reel clip to make your badge reel stand out and to make it unmistakably yours. Whether you choose a single initial or your full three letter monogram, attaching it to your badge reel is simple.

Center your fabric over the button template from your button packaging. Cut the fabric according to the template.

3
Remove the metal shank from the back of the button using pliers.
-
4
Put the fabric in the button covering tool with the design facing down. Put the button face over the fabric, front side down. Tuck the excess fabric behind the button face.
-
5
Press the button covering plunger into the back of the button covering tool and press down. After you hear the button make a popping sound, remove the button from the button covering tool.

6
Spread strong glue on the back of the button. Press the button on to the front of the badge reel clip. Remove excess glue and allow to dry completely.
