How to Address Bridal Shower Invitations When Hosting at Someone's House
Bridal showers allow friends and family members of the bride and groom to "shower" the bride with gifts and advice for the long road of marriage ahead. Gifts can range from erotic lingerie to dinnerware sets. Customarily, the shower is thrown by a member of the bridal party (as long as it isn't the mother or sister of the bride). When addressing the invitation, find a way to mention who's hosting the event.

1
Begin with a heartfelt, attention-catching introduction that announces a celebration for the bride. For example, "Jennifer's Happily Ever After starts right now. Help us shower her with blessings for the journey ahead," or "She Said Yes! And now she's going to need lots of recipes and lingerie... Bring both to the shower to help Jen start her married life right!"
-
2
Follow the introduction with the day, date and time of the shower, for example: Friday, April 11th, 2012, 5pm. Indicate whether the party has a cutoff time, for example, 5pm until 8pm; some people choose to spell out the time, such as five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening.

3
Indicate who's hosting the party. If the party is being held at a home where the hostess doesn't live, only put the hostess's name on the invitation (not the name of the homeowner). For example: Hosted by Mia. Including the hostess's last name is optional. If more than one person is hosting the shower, indicate that as well, such as: Hosted by Mia Frank and Gina Morelli. Perhaps a group is co-hosting the party, for example: Hosted by The Bridesmaids. If the party is being held at the hostesses home, include that along with the hostess's name on the invite, for example, The home of Mia Frank, or (for casual invitations) Mia's house.

4
Print the full address of the house on the invitation. Proofread the address carefully before mailing out the invitations to make sure all numbers, street names, designations (Ave., Blvd., Place, Street, etc.) and zip codes are correct.
-
5
Indicate special instructions regarding the shower, for example: "The bride and groom are registered at Feldmann's Department Store", or "Kitchen Appliances please!", or "Recipe's and Lingerie only- Lisa's measurements are 34-30-36, and she wants 1,000 ways to cook chicken."

6
Leave a phone number and contact name for guests to RSVP or send their regrets.
