How to Make a Tinkerbell Wand
Tinker Bell, also known as "Miss Bell," made her film debut in 1953, where she showed off her jealousy and precocious nature, not to mention her Pixie Dust, which allows people to fly. While Tinker Bell wands are available to buy, you and your kids can create wands right at home. Once fully dry, kids can use their wands and imagination to play and pretend to be one of of the most memorable characters from "Peter Pan."
Things You'll Need
- Wooden dowel
- Silver paint or spray paint
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun or clear tape
- Glitter glue
- Thin ribbon
- Craft foam
- Newspaper

Cover the ground or table with newspaper to protect surfaces. Paint the wooden dowel with silver paint or spray paint. Then paint the craft foam with the silver paint. Let everything fully dry.

Cut out a star from the craft foam using the scissors or use precut stars from a craft store. The star shouldn't be too big or too small compared to the wooden dowel.

Decorate the star and wooden dowel with glitter glue and allow it to fully dry. You can also decorate the star with a Tinker Bell sticker in the center.

Attach the star to the top of the wooden dowel, using either the glue gun or tape. Remember that usage of a glue gun should be preformed by an adult for safety.

Cut the thin ribbon into six strips and vary the length depending on your taste. Tie a thin ribbon to the wooden dowel or star.

Tips & Warnings
Offer different colors of glitter glue.
Have an adult cut the stars beforehand when working with small children.
Make or purchase fairy wings to complete the ensemble.
Glue guns can burn skin when turned on.
Don't handle the dowel or star until the paint and glue has fully dried.
