Instructions

    • 1

Check the status lights on the front of your SB5100 modem if you are unable to connect to the Internet. If the "Online" light is not on, unplug the modem for one minute and reconnect it.

    • 2

Disconnect the modem's power supply cable and restart your computer if there is still no connection. Wait for the computer to completely load before reconnecting the power supply cable. Allow for all of the lights to turn on before opening a browser.

    • 3

Ensure the Ethernet and coaxial cables connected to the modem and computer are all securely connected. The Internet connection may fail if the cables are not properly connected.

    • 4

Replace the Ethernet cable connecting the modem to the computer if the "Online" light on the SB5100 modem indicates an Internet connection is present. A faulty Ethernet cable can result in an inability for a connection to be established on your computer.
