Becoming a five-star campus legend in "NCAA Football 10" takes your player from high school to the pros.

Electronic Arts, or EA Sports', "NCAA Football 10" college football simulation video game features several different modes of play for the game player to choose from. These include Rivalry Game, Dynasty Mode and Road to Glory. In Road to Glory, you select and follow the situations of a high-school football player who wants to play college football and eventually in the pros. Becoming a five-star campus legend requires doing well in the high-school portion of the game and developing skills throughout your college playing career,

Instructions

    • 1

Set up your player properly. Choose a position you want to play. Keep in mind that, unless you play as a quarterback, you will be unable to call any plays or dictate what plays your player takes part in. Give your player good all-around skills as specific skills can be targeted and improved upon in practice mode while in college.

    • 2

Play well in the high-school championship tournament. Lead your team to victory in the championship game so the scouts can see you play in all rounds of the tournament,

    • 3

Pick a college that you can start playing for during your freshman year or one that will at least list you as second on the depth chart. That way you can get some playing time in and possibly start if you do well in practice or the player listed ahead of you gets injured.

Practice as much as possible. Complete all morning practices manually (you can simulate these but any improvement will be diminished). Score well during the random practice plays to achieve points and improve your standing -- the more you practice, the faster you will move up the depth chart. Skip evening events that do not improve your player. Run drills that are specific to your player's skills. Do not skip out on educational improvement. Take time to study and work with a tutor as you cannot become a five-star campus legend without a high grade-point average (GPA). Take time to study the playbook and hit the gym as well.

Play well during games. Showcasing your skills before the home crowd and opposing teams will improve your chances of becoming a campus legend. Lead your team to victory, help them receive national recognition and do well in a postseason bowl game.

    • 6

Stay in school. Ignore offers to turn professional, which could come as soon as the end of your sophomore season; it generally takes until your senior season before you can reach campus-legend status. Continue to do the things you did to get there to maintain that status; skipping practice or letting your GPA slide can lead to a reduction in your status ranking.
