How to Use the Stampin' Up Five-In-One Card Cover
Perhaps you have left the small craft template you bought at a Stampin' Up! party in your drawer, forgotten. This template, however, enables you to make projects quickly without needing to constantly measure. With simple instructions, the Five-In-One Card Cover becomes an indispensable tool for making envelopes and even cards.
Things You'll Need
- Cardstock paper
- Scoring/embossing stylus
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Glue
- Eraser
Instructions

Rectangluar Envelope

Place the template on the paper, close to its edge and on the wrong side of patterned paper. The top is the rectangle with the half-moon shapes in the center; the words and dimensions are at the bottom.

Mark around the top outer edge, using a stylus or a pencil, down the left side flap and around the bottom. Do not mark the half-moon on the right.

Mark the straight fold lines forming a rectangle in the center.

Flip the template over so that the left side flap is on the right side. Mark it and the fold line.

Cut around the outline. Crease along the fold lines so the wrong side of the paper is inside.

Place double-sided tape or glue on the edges of the left and right side flaps. Fold the top down over them.

Turn the envelope around. Your bottom flap is now at the top.

Erase any remaining pencil marks on the the flap.

Place the card inside. Close the envelope with double-sided tape or glue.
Side-Opening Flap Envelope

Place the template on the paper as described in section one. Mark around the top outer edge, down the left side flap, the bottom flap and the half-moon on the right. Mark the fold lines forming a rectangle in the center.

Cut around the outline. Crease along the fold lines. Place tape or glue on the edges of the left and bottom flaps. Fold the top down over them.

Slide in the card and close the half-moon flap with double-sided tape or glue.
Rectangluar Side-Opening Envelope

Place the template on the paper, close to its edge and on the wrong side of patterned paper.

Mark the straight fold lines forming a rectangle in the center.

Flip the template over so that the left side flap is on the right side. Mark it and the fold line.

Place tape or glue on the edges of the left and bottom flaps. Fold the top down over them.

Slide in the card and close the right hand flap with double-sided tape or glue.
Mini Envelope

Place the template on the paper as in Section 1, Step 1.

Mark the outline and fold marks, following the lines in the center rectangle. Refer to Section 1, Step 2 to 4.

Cut around the outline and fold the flaps. Place tape or glue on the small top and bottom flaps.

Fold the long right hand flap over them.

Slide in the card and close the half-moon flap with double-sided tape or glue.
Half-Moon Variations

Mark and cut out the small half-moon middles on the flaps when marking and cutting out the envelope.

Make an insert for large envelopes by using the large half-moon in the center of the top flap. Use the small half-moon for mini envelopes.

Follow the dotted lines on the template that indicate where to place the insert. Glue it to the inside of the flap, so the cutout shows through.

Dimensions of the envelopes, and the cards that fit into them, are written at the bottom of the template.
The Stampin' Up Five-In-One Card Cover template has been retired and can not be ordered from Stampin' Up. Contact a demonstrator or search online for used products.
