Draw attention to a cutting area using a dashed border.

Borders are often used to draw the audience's attention to the bordered part of the artwork. Dashed borders also contain a more functional purpose in many instances. For example, a dashed border around a coupon draws the attention to the coupon, while at the same time depicting where user should cut the coupon. Using Adobe Illustrator, you can easily add a dashed border around your artwork to signify a cutting area or simply to add a decorative element.
