How to Flatten Documents in Illustrator Before Printing
Adobe Illustrator is a professional drawing and graphics creation tool. If your graphic or artwork contains transparent areas or a transparent background, the image or document must be flattened prior to printing. Flattening a document converts transparent areas into a combination of vector-based and rasterized areas. Once artwork is flattened and saved in Adobe Illustrator, it cannot be reversed. Flatten the document and then save with another file name, or print the document once flattened.
