How to Animate Pictures to Post on YouTube
With the use of any number of animation software programs available online, nearly anyone can turn his still photos into animations. If you're new to the world of animation, you'll find plenty of websites willing to help you create something to display to the public in a matter of minutes. If the site you use doesn't save the animation as a video file, you'll need to complete one last step to share your animation on YouTube.

1
Browse the various free animation sites on the internet, including Animasher, Picture2Life and LunaPic to get a feel for how the sites work. Experiment with their online tutorials to get a feel for how the sites work, then choose the one that best suits your purpose.
-
2
Select the photo you want to animate, then click "Upload Image" or "Browse" to retrieve the photo from the files or folders on your computer.
-
-
3
Open the effects menu that contains the desired effects for the photo you're working with. Your choices range from color changes, motion, slides and much more.
-
4
Select the effect you want to use on the photo and click "Apply," "Use Effect," or a similar selection.
-
5
Save the file by clicking "Save As" or "Save to your computer" from within the effects editor. Since the file is a motion file, it should be saved as with a video codec such as ".avi," ".wmv," or another type of video codec compatible with YouTube. Use YouTube Help's "Supported YouTube file formats" page if you're not sure whether the file type you are saving as will work with YouTube. If the program you're using only saves the image as a ".gif" file, proceed to the next step. If you are able to save it as a video codec, move on to Step 7.
-
6
Open your video-editing program, such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, and select "File," then "Import." Choose the image file you just created and drag it to the timeline of the editor, then click "File," and then "Export" to save the file with a video codec.
-
7
Log in to your YouTube account and click "Upload" from the top of the screen. Select your animation from the files and folders on your computer, then click "Upload" to load the animation to your YouTube Channel.
