1
Wash hair with shampoo tailored to your hair type, but skip the conditioner. Instead, spray your hair with a detangler and comb through to distribute evenly. Cream conditioners will weigh hair down throughout the day, and assist humidity in taking down the curls.

2
Blot or pat your head with a towel to remove moisture. Once your hair reaches a damp consistency, apply a heat-protectant spray and comb through to distribute evenly. The spray will not only combat your hair against heat-styling tools, but also against ultraviolet rays.

Dry hair with a hairdryer set to medium-heat. Use your fingers to comb through your hair as you dry. Avoid using a brush to pull through your hair while drying, unless you absolutely must to prevent tangles.

Curl your hair with a curling iron or hot rollers. Comb out the section of hair you want to curl. Spray an anti-humidity blocking spray on the strands, before you apply the curling iron or rollers; one or two sprays will be sufficient. The heat will bond the humidity blocking spray to your tresses, and help maintain curls during the day by keeping them intact and frizz-free. Continue to spray the anti-humidity spray on your hair before you curl.

5
Style the hair as you like after the curls are in place. Apply a light-hold hairspray to your locks to keep flyaway's at bay and secure the hold throughout the day.

Tips & Warnings
The anti-humidity blocking spray will also work on naturally curly hair to prevent frizzing up during humidity.
Never apply a hot iron to wet hair; this will cause the hair to break due to heat damage.
