If you have trouble reading text in web pages, you my need NoSquint.

The Firefox web browser has many third-party add-ons that greatly improve your web surfing experience. For example, the add-on "NoSquint" allows you to increase or decrease the font size on web pages. This is particularly useful for high resolution monitors, which may render web pages with unreadable, small fonts. When you install "NoSquint," a status icon appears in the lower-right hand corner of your Firefox web browser. You can change the look of this icon if you wish.

Instructions

    • 1

Load Firefox by clicking on its application link. The web browser takes a moment to load.

    • 2

Right-click on the "NoSquint" status icon, which is located in the lower-right corner of the web browser. It looks like a magnifying glass with a percentile number next to it (which refers to the magnification level on this page). When you right-click this icon, a menu appears.

    • 3

Click on "Global Settings" in the menu. A window labeled "NoSquint Global Settings" appears.

    • 4

Click on the tab labeled "Zooming" in the "NoSquint Global Settings" window. The window shows zoom settings and has a couple of check boxes near the bottom of the window.

    • 5

Click on the check-box labeled "Show current zoom levels in status bar." Since this is checked by default, this action will uncheck the box and change the way the status icon looks.

    • 6

Press the "OK" button. The changes are now set and the "NoSquint" icon no longer displays the current zoom levels.
