How to Remove a Router From My Network Places
My Network Places replaced the Network Neighborhood feature in earlier versions of Windows, beginning with Windows ME and Windows 2000. The feature shows links to network resources like shared computers, servers, printers or your router. You can also use My Network Places to create links to shared folders or drives and websites. The links in My Network Places are shortcuts to the resource or website, and you can delete them without affecting the resource.
