How to Trim Eyebrows and Comb Them Down

Stray eyebrow hairs create a distraction.

Women's eyebrows tend to become thinner as they age as a result of frequent grooming, while men's eyebrows tend to grow long and wiry from testosterone. Men benefit from eyebrow trimming that tames wild hairs and restores their natural eyebrow outline, while woman will benefit from a trim that keeps longer hairs within their natural outline without entirely removing the hairs. Learn how to comb down and trim your eyebrows to make them a highlight of your face, not a distraction.

Things You'll Need

• Fine-toothed comb
• Scissors

Instructions

1. Face yourself in a mirror and comb your eyebrows straight down toward the ground.

2. Trim your eyebrow hairs with scissors along the natural outline of your eyebrow. This maintains the look of a fuller eyebrow, but keeps the hairs short enough that they will not stray outside the outline of your eyebrow.

3. Comb your eyebrows back into shape, running the comb across the eyebrows outward toward the ear.
