Your Acer computer includes an option to uninstall the GameZone console.

Your Acer computer comes shipped from the factory with a series of pre-installed game software. One of the programs included with certain models is the Acer GameZone console, which is used to locate and download other games online. If you have no interest in playing any of the Acer games, or just want to free up some extra space on your computer's hard drive, you may want to get rid of the GameZone console by using your operating system's "uninstall" feature.

Instructions

    • 1

Close down any Acer GameZone console games that are currently running on your computer. Navigate to the "Start" menu, and click the button labeled "Control Panel."

    • 2

Click the heading named "Programs." Scroll down through the list of program options, and click the "Programs and Features" link.

    • 3

Scroll down to the program entry labeled "Acer GameZone Console," and click the entry. If you have difficulty locating the entry, click the "Name" button at the top of the screen to arrange all the programs in alphabetical order.

    • 4

Click the "Uninstall" button located near the top of the screen, then click "Continue" and "Next." Select "Finish" to get rid of the Acer GameZone console. Restart your computer's operating system to finalize the change.

Tips & Warnings

  • Removing the Acer GameZone console won't also automatically remove all the games installed on your Acer computer from the factory. If you want to remove individual games that were pre-installed, click the name of the game in the "Programs and Features" list, and click "Uninstall." Follow the prompts to delete the program.
