How to Make a Tweet Account

You can send tweets via a mobile device.

Twitter is a free social networking site based on 140-character messages. Users can "tweet" public messages or send direct messages to other "tweeters" who've added them as a contact. Getting started requires a unique email address, as Twitter only allows one account per address. Once signed up, you can follow others, gain followers and communicate with old and new acquaintances online.

Instructions

1. Open a Web browser, and go to Twitter.com.

2. Type your full name, your email address and a password in the boxes indicated, then click "Sign Up."

3. Click "Create My Account" to confirm your details. Twitter will create your account, and send you a verification email.

4. Log in to your email account, and click the link in the email Twitter sent you to confirm you are the account holder. This grants you full access to Twitter.
