Maintaining equal space between elements is an important design consideration to help maintain an organized appearance. Adobe Illustrator allows you to evenly distribute elements in your design horizontally and vertically. You can even distribute imported images. Objects and images can be distributed horizontally based on the top, center or bottom alignment of the objects. They can be distributed vertically based on the left, center or right edge of the objects.

      Click on the "Window" menu and select "Align" to open the Align panel.

      Choose the "Selection" tool.

      Hold down the "Shift" key and select the images that you want to space.

      Click on the desired "Vertical Distribute" icon in the "Distribute Anchor Points" section of the Align panel to evenly space the images vertically. Click on the desired "Horizontal Distribute" icon to evenly space the images horizontally.
