How Do I Mix GarageBand Voice Clips?

GarageBand is a simple, yet powerful audio production program included as part of the iLife suite with all new Macintosh computers. GarageBand features a drag and drop interface that allows you to quickly manipulate different aspects of what you are trying to create. Arranging and mixing voice clips in GarageBand is a quick and effective way to edit spoken-word-based audio projects. Once the voice clips are properly arranged, you can mix their respective volume levels with the faders in GarageBand.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open the GarageBand application.

    • 2

Drag and drop the voice clips onto the timeline. Create a separate track for each clip. The sources can be the GarageBand library, or directly from the Finder.

    • 3

Drag the volume control slider left or right to decrease or increase the volume level for each individual track. By modifying the volume level of each track, you can achieve the desired sound levels for the project.
