How to Install Multiple Databases From One WordPress

Each blog you create under WordPress creates a different database in which it stores the applicable data. If you want to install multiple databases on your WordPress account, you simply need to create multiple blogs. The option to do so is built into WordPress. This allows you to keep everything nicely organized under one account, as opposed to multiple ones. Multiple accounts present a hassle, as you'd have to manage each individually with different email addresses and passwords. If you wanted to manage five blogs for example, you can see how things could quickly become needlessly complicated.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your WordPress account.

    • 2

Hover your mouse over "Blogs," and click "Register New Blog."

    • 3

Type the address you want for your blog.

    • 4

Type the title of the new blog.

    • 5

Select the language of the blog, its privacy settings and the language the posts will be made in.

    • 6

Click "Create Blog," and repeat these steps for every blog/database you want to create.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to do more advanced editing of your databases and templates, you'll need to pay WordPress for advanced features.
