How to Expand Text in CS5
Adobe Photoshop CS5 provides many options for editing and customizing an image. These options include a Horizontal Type Too" that allows you to add letters and numbers to your image. Conveniently Photoshop CS5 creates a new layer for the text that you add to your image, as there is always a possibility that you will need to return to that text at a later time and make adjustments. For example, if you are designing something and notice that the text is too small for your needs, you can return to the text layer and expand the text to a larger size.

Tips & Warnings
Even if you have rasterized your text to make it into a non-text layer, you can still use the Transform tool to expand the text. Click your rasterized layer from the Layers toolbar at the right side of the window, and then press "Ctrl + T" to open the Transform tool. Drag the sizing boxes in any direction to expand the text as needed.
