When you make a slideshow on your Mac using Aperture, you might realize that you want to share it on YouTube. Aperture is an application from Apple that you use to manage and edit photographs. You can use Aperture to create a slideshow presentation of your images, and then export the slideshow as a YouTube-compatible video that you can then upload to YouTube. YouTube is a free online video-hosting website that anyone can sign up for, then upload their videos to share with the world.

Instructions

      Launch Aperture on your Mac. Click an album in the left pane of the Aperture window. Thumbnails of images appear in the mail window.

      Click the images that you want to export to YouTube, to select them. Click "File" from the Aperture menu, then click "New," and click "Slideshow." A dialog box appears.

      Type a name for the slideshow in the "Slideshow Name" field. Click the "Add Selected Items to New Slideshow" check box. Click a slideshow theme in the left pane of the dialog box, such as "Classic" or "Scrapbook," then click "Choose Theme." The slideshow editor appears.

      Click the "Export" button on the upper right corner of the Slideshow Editor. A dialog box appears. Type a name for the slideshow in the "Save As" text box, then click a folder on your Mac where you want to save the exported file.

      Click the "Export For" pull-down menu, and click "YouTube," then click "Export." Aperture exports your slideshow as a video in the folder you designated.

      Click "Safari" on the Dock of your Mac to launch Apple's native Internet browser. Navigate to the YouTube website at youtube.com, and log in to your account.

      Click "Upload" at the top of the page. A dialog box appears. Click the folder on your Mac containing the Aperture slideshow video. Click the video file to select it, and click "Open." The Aperture slideshow video uploads to YouTube.

      Type a name for your video in the "Title" box, then type a description in the "Description" box, and type keywords to help people find your video in the "Tags" box. Click "Save Changes" to post your Aperture slideshow video YouTube.
