How to Make a Sigma on a Mac
People use the sigma, the 18th letter in the Greek alphabet, for a variety of reasons, such as when they need to type a mathematical symbol for summation in statistics, or if they need to write the name of a college fraternity. All Macs come with Greek characters already installed, and you can easily enable Greek with the Keyboard settings in Apple's System Preferences.
