How to Gift a Game on iTunes thumbnail
You can buy someone a present with Apple's iTunes Store.

The iPod touch, the iPhone and the iPad are portable devices made by Apple that run the iOS operating system and can play games. If you know someone who has an Apple iOS device and who enjoys playing games, you can send her a specific game as a gift. You use Apple's free iTunes application on your computer to buy the gift and designate the recipient, who will get a code to redeem for the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch iTunes on your computer, and click "iTunes Store" in the left pane of the iTunes window.

    • 2

Type the name of the game in the search box at the top of the window, and then press the "Enter" key on the computer's keyboard.

    • 3

Click the name of the game to open its page.

    • 4

Click the pull-down menu next to the game's price, and then click "Gift This App." The "Give a Gift" page opens. If you're not currently signed in to your iTunes account, you will first be prompted to do so, and then the "Give a Gift" page will open.

    • 5

Type in your name and the recipient's name. Type in your recipient's email address and an optional personal message, such as "I hope you enjoy this game!" Click "Continue."

    • 6

Review and confirm your purchase, and then click the "Buy Gift" button. Apple charges the credit card associated with your account, and then sends your recipient an email with a link to click and redeem the game.
