How to Block a Snag Bar & Its Users

You can remove the Snag Bar from your computer to prevent it from accessing your Facebook account and applications. The Snag Bar is a toolbar, for both the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers, that regularly connects to your Facebook account to collect various items in games such as Farmville or Mafia Wars, without requiring you to actually load the game. This toolbar also lets you receive messages from other Snag Bar users. You can prevent the Snag Bar from accessing your Facebook account and displaying messages from other users by removing the toolbar from your browser.

Instructions

For Internet Explorer

1. Click on Start. Select "Control Panel."

2. Click on the "Uninstall a program" link.

3. Scroll down the list and select "Gamers Unite! Toolbar." Click on "Uninstall/Remove" and click on "Next." This finishes uninstalling the Snag Bar.

For Firefox

1. Click on "Tools" in the menu at the top of the browser screen.

2. Select "Add-ons" and click on the "Extensions" tab.

3. Click on "Gamers Unite! Toolbar." Click on the "Uninstall" button.

4. Click on "Yes" to enable Firefox to close itself and restart.
