How to Change a Pinnacle Passport
Avid Technology develops and sells Pinnacle audio-video editing software. Every purchase provides you with a unique Pinnacle passport. This allows you to purchase new programs and tie them into the same account. If your passport number has been compromised, you can change it. However, you can generate new numbers through Pinnacle. You cannot make up your own as you might a password, since it has to be unique and fit the Pinnacle formula.

Open your Pinnacle application.

Click the "Help" menu.

Click "Pinnacle Passport."

Click "Generate New Passport Number."

Confirm. This will render your old passport number invalid. The new passport will be displayed on your screen.
