How to Make a Ribbon Halo
Ribbon halos are as fun to make as they are to wear. Make them to go with a specific costumes, such as an angel or fairy, or wear one decorated for a holiday. They're perfect for playing dress-up or wearing in or to a parade. They can be made with a fabric or sewing ribbon or curling ribbon from your gift wrap supplies. Ribbon halos are easy enough for children to make on their own, with very little supervision.

1
Wrap a piece of ribbon around the head of the person who will wear it. Tie the ends in a knot and trim so that they're very short. Remove the halo from the head.

2
Cut strands of ribbon roughly 2 feet long. You will want a dozen or more strands.

3
Tie the strands to the halo around the knot. Keep the strands within 3 inches of the knot on either side. You don't want them spread out too much.

4
Curl a few of the ribbons with the scissors if you're using curling ribbon.
