Drop-shippers form a crucial grease for international trade. They bring products to international shores in bulk at competitive prices. An efficient business uses drop shippers to manage its supply chain and deliver products on time to its customers. One drop-shipper is often not enough to properly build a robust supply chain. Therefore, you must manage your many drop shippers as a way to build a productive business.

Instructions

1. Organize your drop-shippers by reliability, price, shipping routes and service. These qualities, along with other preferred criteria must be used to simplify your management process.

2. Weight each criteria according to its importance to your firm. Price is, of course, an important component, but flexibility and reliability can be just as crucial to ensuring a sustainable supply chain management process. Use a software program or spreadsheet to weight each of these qualities.

3. Determine your preferred drop-shippers and enter them into your software platform.

4. Begin to order shipments through your drop-shippers. Start with your highest-rated firm and determine whether its schedule and prices meet your criteria. If so, place the order and enter the expected delivery date.

5. Order a shipment of material through the second drop-shipper on your list if its schedule and price meet your needs. Enter the date of the shipment delivery date. Continue this process for the next few drop-shippers.

6. Record your experience after each delivery is made. Mark whether the shipment was on time, the condition of the material and the service level that was provided. Adjust your rankings of drop-shippers based on these updates.
