Instructions

    • 1

Choose your photos and print to photo fabric sheets. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to remove the paper or plastic backing. Place your photo fabric squares on a flat surface and decide on a pleasing arrangement. With right sides together, sew using a 1/4-inch seam. Do this with each square until you have a completed quilt top.

    • 2

Cut a piece of quilt batting and fabric backing in the same size as your finished quilt top. Make a sandwich with your quilt batting on the bottom and your quilt top and backing together with right sides facing. Pin or baste together. Machine sew, using a 1/4-inch seam allowance almost all the way around. Leave a large enough opening for turning. Reach in and turn your completed quilt right-side out. Iron, if necessary.

    • 3

Use the yarn to tie your quilt to keep the layers together. Embellish with trinkets, pins and patches, if desired. Make fabric loops and attach to the quilt back for hanging.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't own an inkjet printer you can save your photos to disc and have the photos printed at an office supply store. You can alternate photo squares with plain fabric squares.
