Wash your face twice a day with plain yogurt. Massage a small amount of yogurt into your face for 30 seconds to one minute and then rinse off with warm water. Yogurt contains lactic acid. This mild alpha hydroxyl acid exfoliates the top layer of skin, removing dead skin cells that dull your complexion. Yogurt is good for all skin types.

Apply a toner to your face after washing it. Use lemon juice, vinegar or witch hazel. Pour the liquid of your choice onto a cotton ball and apply to your face. All three liquids absorb excess oil from the skin and help to remove any traces of yogurt left behind. These toners also restore the pH balance to the skin so skin looks healthy and natural.

Apply a moisturizer to your skin. Even oily skin can benefit from moisturizer, to hold in the water content of the skin. It is the water content of your skin that makes skin vibrant and soft.

Create a scrub with two parts water and one part baking soda in a bowl. Apply the scrub to your skin and massage it in for about one minute. This scrub is a good deep-pore cleanser. It also exfoliates more of the dead skin than yogurt does, as tiny granules get into the pores and clean them. Rinse off the scrub with warm water. Perform this facial scrub once or twice a week.
