Frigidaire dishwashers hook up to the water supply line under your sink, as well as the drainage system. During the wash cycle, water comes in through the water supply line and sprays inside the unit. The water turns off and on, depending on which cycle is running.       Check the water supply underneath the sink. Turn the water supply counterclockwise to completely open the supply line.

      Unscrew the dishwasher from the countertop and unplug it. Pull the dishwasher out from the wall.

      Pull the water inlet tube from the water inlet valve.

    • 4

      Turn the nut holding the water inlet valve in place, using a wrench. Check the screen on the inlet valve and clean it with water if it is obstructed. Replace the valve if the unit continues to malfunction.

      Remove the screws holding the kick plate of the dishwasher under the door. Pull out on the kick plate to remove it.

      Locate the float assembly underneath the dishwasher. Find the float switch, which is located underneath the float assembly, to the left or right.

    • 7

      Pull the slip-on connectors from the float switch using pliers and install a new float switch in its place.
