How to Moisturize a Remy Weave
Remy hair extensions are sought after for their natural look and soft feel. Unlike natural hair, Remy weaves don't benefit from the scalp's natural oils and require extra conditioning every 3 to 4 days to maintain their appearance and texture. You can moisturize your Remy weave with commercial hair care products found at African American salons. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Brush your hair to remove tangles. Use a soft, vented bristle brush and start from the bottom of the strands, working your way up to the roots.
-
2
Rinse your hair with plain water and apply moisturizing conditioner to the weave. Leave the conditioner in for as long as the package recommends.
-
-
3
Apply moisturizing shampoo over the conditioned hair. Wash and rinse the hair as normal.
-
4
Apply a second dose of moisturizing conditioner and leave it in for as long as the package recommends. Rinse your hair normally.
-
5
Gently wring excess water out of your weave and towel-dry your hair. Do not rub your hair with the towel.
-
6
Comb your hair to release any tangles and allow it to air-dry. Using a blow dryer can cause the weave to dry out.
-
7
Moisturize hair between washings with hair moisturizing mist. Hold the sprayer 6 inches away from the weave and mist it evenly. Massage the product into your hair with your fingers and style the weave with a comb or brush.
