How Do I Get Microsoft Life Cam to Work With Skype?

Skype is a computer program that allows you to cheaply -- and many times without any cost at all -- make calls around the globe. Now you can use Skype in conjunction with a Web camera, like the Microsoft LifeCam, in order to make video calls. This allows you brodcast images of yourself to the person you are calling. The LifeCam is designed for this particular use so setting it up won't take long.

Instructions

Plug your Microsoft LifeCam into your computer via the attached USB cable.

    • 2

Install the LifeCam driver if you have not done so already. This is the sync software for the camera. Navigate to Microsoft's software download site.

Press the "Power" button on the LifeCam and place it on top of your computer monitor, positioning it so that the front lens is facing you.

    • 5

Click the "General Settings" tab and then click the "Audio Settings" tab.
