How to Make a LiveStrong Bracelet Smaller
LiveStrong bracelets are made from a silicone rubber that's simple to repair. If you happen to receive a bracelet that's too large for your wrist, it's actually quite straightforward to size down. The process requires cutting the excess in the bracelet out and the binding it back together with a silicone epoxy.
Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- Pen
- Scissors
- Sandpaper
- Silicone rubber epoxy (Sil-Poxy, Rubber Cement or Bondit)
Instructions

1
Measure the diameter of your wrist with measuring tape. Add an additional 1/2 inch.
-
2
Wrap the Livestrong bracelet with the measuring tape and draw lines where the measuring tape begins and where your measurement ends with a pen.
-
-
3
Cut the bracelet along the pen lines to remove the excess length. Lightly sand both edges to help the epoxy bind the silicone more effectively.
-
4
Apply a thin line of epoxy along the edge of one cut end. Line up both cut ends and press them together. Hold the ends together for several minutes. Set the bracelet aside and allow the epoxy to fully cure as directed on the packaging.
-
5
Lightly sand any excess epoxy off the bracelet.

Don't cut away any lettering on the Livestrong bracelet when sizing to preserve its message.
