How to Do a White Tip Pedicure
A white-tipped pedicure, more formally known as a French pedicure, will give your toes a sweet and classic look. However, getting a pedicure at a professional nail salon can become pricey if done regularly. Although it looks tricky, a French pedicure requires only one step more than a regular solid-colored pedicure. If you own pink and white nail polish and have patience and a steady hand, you can do your own French pedicures at home for a fraction of what a professional would charge. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Remove any nail polish that is currently on your toenails with nail polish remover. Trim the toenails straight across with nail clippers and use an emery board to smooth down any rough edges.
-
2
Apply a base coat of translucent pale pink polish to your toenails. Allow this coat to dry for approximately five minutes.
-
-
3
Use white nail polish to carefully paint a thin white line across the tip of each toenail. This should be done with a loaded brush in one solid stroke, if possible. Let the tips dry completely before proceeding.
-
4
Apply a second coat of the translucent pink polish over the nails after the tips have dried. This will make the white tips appear less harsh and will give the pedicure a neat overall appearance.
-
5
Dip a cotton swab in nail polish remover and use it to carefully clean up any excess polish that is on the skin around your toenails.

Tips & Warnings
Many drugstores and beauty supply stores sell French pedicure guides, which are small stickers you can place onto the nail to leave only the tip exposed. You then paint the white polish onto the tip of the nail and remove the sticker, leaving a perfect white line.
